New Lobby Show

Lobby Exhibit“Individual Perspectives,” an exhibit of student photography done through an ArtReach s project led by Bill Curry, is on display in the lobby.

 

Creative Minds, Sunday January 26th, 2 p.m.

Linda Marie Coakley reviews some of the photos related to the projectJoin us for a presentation by Linda Marie Coakley about a thought-provoking exhibit in the Community Room titled The Plight of the Child Soldier—Innocence LostLinda Marie will take us behind the scenes of an ArtSmarts project with students from two schools in Yarmouth and Barton.

Art Hits the Wall showcasing rugs and quilts as art !

Show opening will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 26
with a tea social hosted by the local Rug Hookers of Yarmouth & Area.
The title, “Art Hits The Wall” was chosen by the committee to convey the message that it was time to “add excitement…whip the rugs off the floor, tear quilts off the beds and create them as hanging art” which is what the event continues to do.wwwarthitsthewall.com

Public and private gardens of Yarmouth and area have been celebrated this summer with an exhibit arranged in cooperation with Communities in Bloom. February 5, 2013 – Autism Arts at the AGNS in Yarmouth

Autism Arts is a new program being offered at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia’s Yarmouth branch. It is for young people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. The 8-week sessions are modeled after a program developed at the AGNS through funding from the Craig Foundation, which have been offered in Halifax since 2006.
