{"id":1564,"date":"2018-03-15T16:33:40","date_gmt":"2018-03-15T20:33:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.friendsofyarmouthartgallery.com\/?p=1564"},"modified":"2018-03-15T16:33:40","modified_gmt":"2018-03-15T20:33:40","slug":"project-coordinator-position-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.friendsofyarmouthartgallery.com\/?p=1564","title":{"rendered":"Project coordinator position available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR NEEDED<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">FOR: a New Horizons seniors project titled \u201cLooking Out, Looking In: Windows with a Community View\u201d sponsored by the Friends of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Yarmouth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">DUTIES: to lead, organize and manage the \u201cWindows\u201d project. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">OVERVIEW: The primary objective of the project is to engage seniors of diverse backgrounds by creating inclusive opportunities to enjoy social interactions with their own and other generations through a series of arts-based workshops and other arts-related activities. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">A secondary objective is engaging seniors in the community through the mentoring of others through sharing \u201cfolk\u201d arts and crafts, music, stories and skills. Measurable outputs include the production of an art exhibition, arts events, and recorded stories that preserve folk knowledge, and stimulate community-building social activities and cultural exchanges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">This position involves outreach work with seniors and others, as well as members of various community organizations in the Tri-Counties. A valid driver\u2019s licence and access to a vehicle is required.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">DURATION:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>April 04, 2018 \u2013 March 29, 2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">SALARY: 26 hours per month @$20.00 per hour <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">APPLICATION DEADLINE: Application must arrive by 4 pm.
