Size matters—especially when it’s OVERSIZE!  A new show in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Yarmouth’s Community Room will celebrate the importance of scale in art!

OVERSIZE MATTERS! will showcase large works by Brian Porter, Dan Earle, Travis Doyle, Dave Gorman, and Andre Haines.

After a preview at a Community, Culture & Cocktails event on Friday, November 3rd, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, the show will run until January 28, 2018.

The OVERSIZE MATTERS! exhibit may also include a community creation—a 6’ x 4’ canvas painted by audience volunteers and artists under the direction of Andre Haines during the opening Community, Culture & Cocktails event on  November 3rd.

Community, Culture & Cocktails is a quarterly celebration of the arts sponsored by the Friends of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Yarmouth. The early evening fund raising event on November 3rd will include live music with vocalist Barb Gillis, an array of savory and sweet appetizers by Chef Warren Parnell, a complementary cocktail, cash bar, and an interactive art activity with Andre Haines.   Artists represented in the OVERSIZE MATTERS! show will be present to engage in conversations about their work.
