Good news! Autism Arts classes will be happening at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in Yarmouth this fall! Autism Arts sessions will begin on Saturday, October 23rd and continue until Saturday, December 16th. There will be no class on November 11th, so that gives us eight weeks of art activity.
Jay LeBlanc will be the art instructor , and Amy Walls will be the therapist. Together they will plan and offer hour-long, hands on, art projects that will entertain and engage.
There will be two sessions each Saturday morning. Classes for the younger group, ages 6 to 11, will run from 9:45 to 10:45. Ages 12 and up will meet from 11 to 12 noon. Only six participants are accepted for each class, so pre-registration is required.
The cost for the program is $10 per class ($80 for the term). Assistance with fees is available from the Friends of the Art Gallery, Yarmouth and other sources. Just ask—we’re happy to help! To register or to ask for more detail about Autism Arts, contact the Art Gallery at 902 749-2248 or at email@example.com.
Also feel free to call or contact Virginia Stoddard; her home number is 902 742-4182. Looking forward to an exciting and rewarding fall—it will be good to see many of you at the gallery again!
