Creative Minds – February 26th

The Art of Balance—Mind, Spirit, Body:  AGNS Sunday Feb. 26, 2 p.m.

The Friends of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in Yarmouth are pleased to sponsor the upcoming Creative Minds program on Sunday February 26 at 2 p.m. at the AGNS. Titled “The Art of Balance—Mind, Spirit, Body,” the program will feature local practitioners of Tai Chi (Carol Jacquard and Elaine O’Connell), Yoga (Caitlin Buchanan and Heather King), Meditation (Stephen Paquette), and QiGong (Cindy Robichaud).

The presenters will give a brief overview of their particular discipline including the benefits of doing these forms of exercise and meditation.

The question on many people’s minds these days is how to achieve balance in our busy lives and what are some things we can do to enhance our sense of well being? Each presenter has been asked to field the question: What is the art of balance, and how does your practice contribute towards your mental, spiritual, emotional or physical health?

Following the presentations, there will be ample time to ask questions (and, perhaps try out something new!)

Creative Minds is a free program sponsored by the Friends. It takes place in the Community Room at the AGNS and all are invited.
