Look at these three great Canadian films on the roster at the AGNS in Yarmouth!
1 p.m. Barney’s Choice: The picaresque and touching story of the politically incorrect, fully lived life of the impulsive, irascible and fearlessly blunt Barney Panofsky. (Starring Dustin Hoffman)
4 p.m. The Whale: The true story of Luna, a
young, wild killer whale who tries to befriend people on the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island.
7 p.m. The Iron Road: A Chinese woman, in search of her long-lost father, disguises herself as a boy to join thousands of Chinese workers blasting through the Rocky Mountains. When she falls in love with the boss’s son, she faces the racism of her new world and a plot to kill her on the mountain cliff. (Staring Peter O’Toole).

Join Rachelle Pyne as she explores the role of visual and performing artists in shaping our perspective. A visual presentation of contemporary world class and sometimes controversial musicians and artists will be featured and serve as an invitation for the audience to share anecdotes from their journey with the arts as an inspirational influence.
Rachelle earned a doctoral degree in music and music education from Columbia University. She lives by the sea in Yarmouth County, and continues to write music, develop workshops highlighting how to journal through music, works with the AGNS as a musical educator, and when the opportunity arises, continues to speak nationally and internationally.
